Just weeks after multiple outlets reported Lady Gaga was officially a mother, sources are revealing how the “Abracadabra” singer is adjusting to life with a baby. According to one insider, Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, are determined to give their daughter, Rose Bean, a normal childhood.
“Gaga and Michael have really been enjoying their little family bubble,” the insider told Page Six, adding that the couple has “started taking Rose on little outings together.” However, the two want to keep things “very private” for their daughter.
The source said Gaga is “fiercely protective of her daughter and very particular about who she allows into their inner circle and around the baby,” noting that although she’s “always valued her privacy,” it’s “taken on a whole new level now that she’s a mom.”
“She wants Rose to have as normal a childhood as possible, away from all the attention that comes with her fame,” they continued.
These recent comments about Gaga’s desire for privacy follow reports from other sources, who told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter that the Oscar winner kept her expanding family a secret from close family and friends.
“Gaga trusted almost nobody with this,” a source claimed. “Even people who have been in her life for years had no idea what was happening. She was terrified the news would leak before she was ready.”
Another emphasized that Gaga “knows there are very few secrets left in Hollywood,” explaining, “The more people who know, the greater the chance someone talks. Gaga decided the safest approach was to tell almost no one.”
“People close to her felt completely blindsided,” a third insider told Shuter. “Not because they were upset, but because she managed to keep something this big hidden for so long. In Hollywood, that’s almost impossible.”
Even though Rose’s birth is now public knowledge, Gaga is reportedly still looking forward to embracing a much quieter life.
“Gaga has always been such a strong, powerful woman, but becoming a mom has brought out this incredibly soft, emotional side of her,” an insider told Page Six. “She’s embracing every moment of it, and the people closest to her can see just how much this new chapter means to her.”
