BFG Technologies is proud to sponsor this year’s Fragapalooza, held over the weekend of July 21st to 24th.  From the opening of registration at 9:00am on Thursday, the event will run non-stop until Sunday 6:00pm. This means that as a participant you can enter into the festivities at any time and participate for as long as you wish between these two times.   In response to a common question that the FP Staff are often asked, they would just like to state that there are no designated games for their event and as such you are welcome to play anything of interest to you while you are participating. Be it multiplayer Tetris, or the high flying Quake series, all that is required is that you can find another person in the event to join you in a game.

The ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup) offers the very best games players from around the world the opportunity to pit there skills against each other at a variety of console and PC games. The ESWC UK events will consist of 3 LAN centre based pre-qualifiers taking place across the country, during May, and a final event being held, in Oxford, on the 28th, 29th and 30th of May.

The finals event will be covered by the UK satellite and cable channel GamerTV ensuring extensive exposure. Gaming industry magazines and countless websites will also be covering the event.

One of the largest LAN events this year! 1,000 gamers will show their mettle in Portland. There will be Tournaments (5v5 CS:S , 8v8 Battlefield 2, 1v1 UT2k4, 3v3 UT2k4 CTF), Contests: (6 Offcial Contests for Great Prizes), and over $100,000 in prizes for tournaments and raffle! BFG Technologies will be in the NVIDIA booth and providing 25 6800 GT's as prizes! Register for the event.

PDXLAN is now gearing up for "PDXLAN v4.05" with only 500 seats, to be held March 18th-21st 2005, and "PDXLAN 5" with 1,000 gamers to be held in Summer of 2005. (Not July 4th) PDXLAN v4.05 Registration will go live November 1st 2004, and close when the event sells out.

PDXLAN is the West Coast Mecca of LAN parties, parties with over 500 computer gamers that come from all over the United States, and Canada, to game for four days straight. Think your system is faster than everyone else’s?  BFG Technologies and PC Pitstop announce an exciting PC performance contest — the “Top Dawg Challenge”.  Contestants will race their computer at PC Pitstop through a series of CPU, graphics, disk and memory benchmarks to compete for valuable prizes.  Prizes include the award-winning BFG GeForce™ 6800 Ultra OC™ for maximum graphics and gaming performance.  Several random drawings will be held so everyone has a chance to win.

Situated not far from the M2 motorway, Ballyearl Theatre provides excellent facilities for LAN XL.  Featuring the theatre itself with seating for over 100 people, on site parking, side rooms for chilling out, a light and airy atmosphere, an excellent sound system and digital projection unit.  It also features a a golf course and driving range within the same complex for those of you who might want to take a break from the endless carnage.

HardOCP.com Workshop at Quakecon — Kyle Bennett, Editor and Owner of www.hardocp.com gave his annual hardware workshop at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center to an enthusiastic crowd of approximately 800 - 1,000 attendees. CyberAthlete Professional League — 7 employees/founders of BFG Tech traveled to from Chicago to Dallas in a 37' mobile home (17 hours!) to compete in the CPL Call of Duty Search and Destroy tournament. This is the first time (that we know of) that a graphics card company has competed in the CPL, showing that they are truly part of the gaming community to which they sell product.  How did they do? They got schooled by awesome clans that practiced 18 hours a day for the last three months. However, BFG did represent and had a great time doing so.

The West Coast's longest-lasting and largest LAN party enters another summer, with NVIDIA and BFG! NVIDIA and BFG will be on site as banner sponsors, showcasing the latest demos of the hottest games on our demo kiosks. BFG and NVIDIA also teamed up to provide 20 GeForce FX graphics cards for prizes at this event, as well as 15 NVIDIA/BFG powered tournament gaming machines. Million Man LAN has been one of North America's largest, longest-running LAN parties for the past two years. This summer, over 1,200 gamers will make the trek to to Million Man LAN in Louisville, KY. NVIDIA and BFG will be there to showcase the latest game demos on the hottest hardware, and giving out T shirts to all attendees.
