In 2020 Luke saw his own pitch commissioned for Sky Kids, “Ultimate Video Skills.” He went on to present his show which showed viewers the techniques behind creating video tricks. In 2021, he also fronted ITV’s brand new show Mini Movies, a show that made children and their families the stars of movie trailers by adding special effects in post-production. The show introduces children into the film making world and invites them behind the scenes to see how movies are made. In 2021 he launched his podcast “Welcome to the Metaverse”, in which he explores and talks expertly about his passion for all things crypto. Luke has always been passionate about all things metaverse, crypto and NFT. In 2021, he launched his podcast Welcome to the Metaverse, attracting world renowned experts as guests. He himself owns a farm of NFT racing chickens, digital real estate and 4 pairs of valuable digital sneakers. The summer of 2020 saw Luke’s first acting role as “Raptor” in the Sky Originals series “I Hate Suzie” alongside Billie Piper. Luke’s debut novel “Jamie McFlair Vs The Boyband Generator” was released in March 2021 and has seen significant sales success from waterstones to Asda. His follow up book Jamie McFlair vs. The Ultimate Brain Hack was released March 2022. In 2019 Luke hosted and devised the highly successful BBC Sounds/R1 podcast Worst Dates which was such a success it was later visualised. Luke hosted BBC Radio 1’s Red Button coverage of Big Weekend, he has also hosted the backstage digital content for The Brits 2019. He was also part of the presenting line up for ITV’s/CITV’s show Scrambled on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Luke started presenting radio shows on his local station was he was 16. He later went on to win the Sony Rising Star award for his breakfast shows on DAB station Fun Kids and was heard as cover for Alice Levine on BBC Radio 1. On TV he went on to front the second series of Pet School on CBBC, in the same year he became the first ever online presenter for BBC1’s The Voice and later The X Factor for ITV. Luke brought all the backstage gossip from the auditions and lives, interviewing the judges and contestants throughout the show. Luke is also an experienced live host who has worked with an array of major pop acts, including Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas and The Vamps (on their recent no.1 album party). He also fronted new music night ‘Showcase Live’ from under Chelsea football stadium. In 2018 Luke was selected to be one of the hosts for ‘Confetti’, a live interactive trivia game-show on Facebook. He makes fashion and lifestyle videos on his YouTube channel and Instagram. Social brand work has included a campaign for the hugely successful Netflix original show ‘Love’ and was worked with ‘Primark’, Amex and Amazon most recently. Luke voiced a campaign for Spotify choosing his favourite artists of the moment and earlier this year fronted a lifestyle series on his channel covering the culture of New Orleans with British Airways.

What was your sport and how did you get into it? My sport was badminton, and my parents and older brother already played it. From a very young age I often found myself in badminton halls and naturally I wanted to get involved too. My brother was always winning medals and trophies and I remember being so eager to have the chance to win my own ones. Tell us about the highlights of your sporting career? My first main highlights were winning my first national singles tournament when I was 16. The next highlight was competing in my first Commonwealth Games at the age of 19 in Kuala Lumpur. It was the most magical experience. Winning my first senior national championships was a big moment for me but I'd have to say winning two Commonwealth medals in 2010 was my main highlight. What were some of the challenges you experienced and how did you overcome them? I had several injuries throughout my career with the main one being bulging discs in my lower back. I had to ensure that I was very committed to my rehab exercise throughout my entire career as this was necessary to keep on top of the injury. The exercises were tedious and boring at times, but I understood the importance of doing them and this gave me the motivation to be consistent. What have been your highlights while working at the Trust? There have been so many that it's hard to pick one. When you see a young person come out of their shell and step out of their comfort zone as they rise to the challenges, I feel very proud of them. I know that their life is about to change. What do you do now alongside working for the Trust? I'm a high-performance mindset coach, public speaker and wellbeing mentor. I basically help people to maximise their potential. What life advice would you give a young person? Don't compare yourself with others. You are on your own journey and as long as you are trying to improve, whether it's slowly or quickly, you will gradually get better. What experience do you have of working with corporate organisations? Over the years I have delivered lots of talks and workshops in corporate organisations. What does Being Me mean to you? To me, Being Me means accepting and being comfortable with who you are despite what others may think. It means having the courage to make decisions that are right for you rather than trying to conform to the norms of those around you. It's having the courage to live the life that you want to live. Jack joined BBC Radio 1 in September 2018, playing rock and alternative music from emerging artists. He currently hosts the much coveted slot of 8pm – 10pm hosting Future Artists Monday to Wednesday and The Indie Show on Thursday. Since 2017 Jack has worked with MTV, interviewing everyone from Green Day to Ed Sheeran, Royal Blood to Anne-Marie and many more. Since 2020 Jack has been the host of the MTV Rocks Chart – a wild countdown of the week’s best new alternative music. In 2021 Jack hosted the MTV EMA red carpet show live on MTV across the world. He also has his own gig night called Hopscotch. Hopscotch hosts the best new music with the likes of Yungblud, The Amazons, Inhaler, Wet Leg, Kenny Hoopla and Renforshort all playing some of their first ever shows at Hopscotch. The iconic London night has also brings big surprises with some exciting secret shows: The Vaccines, Blossoms, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Miles Kane, Jamie T and Circa Waves have all brought big moments to Hopscotch. The night currently has a monthly residency at Lafayette. Jack began his journey on Nottingham Trent University’s student radio station Fly FM helping them to their best ever awards haul of nine nominations, five golds and one bronze. Jack’s break came just as he left university. Jack joined Kerrang! Radio in the summer of 2014, and went on to join Radio X in 2015 as their Early Weekend Breakfast presenter. In less than a year, Jack covered the Radio X Evening Show, weekday afternoons and The Chris Moyles Show, before securing the mid-morning slot on Radio X. He has also appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand Up to Cancer, alongside Yungblud. An avid gamer, Jack took 2020’s national lockdown as an opportunity to use the growing Twitch platform to connect with fans and so Quarantine Karaoke was born. Sunday nights were transformed as artists such as Haim, Ashnikko and Declan Mckenna joined Jack for a live stream of karaoke, laughs and more karaoke. He also wrote and produced a Christmas nativity performed on Twitch with KSI, Yungblud, Maddison Beer and Joe Keery performing. Jack is also a supporter of the mental health charity MIND and has hosted a panel for the highly successful iWeigh movement.
