Monsoons in Kolkata are synonymous with love, romance and all the butterflies that come with the first showers of the season. On Tuesday evening, director Satrajit Sen launched the music video for Cholo dekha jak, a heartwarming single by Kolkata-based Bengali band Shoroni.
The video charts a sweet, youthful love story that journeys through the innocence of first love, phases of yearning, separation and everything in between. Actors Soumya Mukherjee and Sayani Datta essay the roles of the two protagonists, who fall in love against the nostalgic backdrop of Kolkata's familiar streets. From holding hands to strolling through the city together, the duo share a charming on-screen chemistry that makes you fall in love with the City of Joy and its romantic ambience all over again.

Actor Abir Chatterjee and filmmaker Srijit Mukherji graced the launch of Cholo dekha jak. During the unveiling of the music video's poster, the two shared several fun anecdotes from their experiences of working with Sen, bearing testament to the strong camaraderie they share.
Sayani Datta and Soumya Mukherjee also shared behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the music video and their experience of being directed by Sen. Both emphasised the fun, spontaneous atmosphere on set, recalling how the entire project came together amidst laughter and smiles.
Shoroni, the band behind Cholo dekha jak, was also present at the launch and performed a few lines from the heartwarming track for the audience. The event was held at the aesthetically designed Goomti Art and Design Studio, whose warm and artistic setting added to the charm and vibrancy of the occasion.
