I'm still tweaking the Sony Touch that I got recently. It's nice to be able to have books & whatnot on a bigger screen than a handheld. I've got quite a bit of content on there with more to put on. I'm annoyed at how little manga is available legally in digital format. Must I scan my whole collection to get all my favorites on my reader? That's a tedious process, but the only avenue until the things I want are available, if ever. *pouts* I'll probably just convert a few things, like Vassalord & Saiyuki.

Well, I was able to get the Doctor Who New Series Adventure novels that feature the Eleventh Doctor and his companions, so that should tide me over until the Christmas special & next season (maybe). And there's also all the fic I need to get on here, an easy process since the reader is compatible with rtf.

Because I feel like making an entry

I feel like I accomplished something internet-wise today since I got my dw layout to do what I wanted it to do. I liked the featured post set up on the layout of my ecchi site, so I returned to ye olde standby Flexible Squares to get one at the top of this layout (with rotating images since I get bored of headers easily) and a double sidebar that can have additional boxes of my choosing. And dropdown tags. And other things.

I haven't done much lately fandomwise, unless bitching about series you used to follow falling into the abyss of suck with folks offline counts. I have some mostly finished fic in a fandom or two of the above. I'm wondering if I should just finish them up or just scrap them and move on. I hate not finishing things, though. I'll definitely finish the WIPs that are lying around from still-beloved fandoms. I might do a short fic or two to get my grove back where that's concerned.

Nah, this isn’t a post about hentai, but about my recently-obtained iPod Touch. I used to be a big fan of Palm OS devices. I’ve always had one ever since the era of green screen handhelds. But then Palm decided to ditch the handheld market and I became a sad puppy with an older device and a refusal to switch to a smartphone (I like my phone and handheld separated for various reasons, tyvm). My old Palm still works, but battery life and unupdated apps were an issue. In stepped the iPod Touch. At first, I thought it was mostly fluff judging by the way it’s advertised as a device for fun fun FUN! Since I already had a video mp3 player of a different brand, I didn’t see much need to make a switch. But when I took a good look, the iPod Touch is a fairly versatile device that can be used for work as well as play, depending on what kind of apps you use. And the built-in wifi really makes it worthwhile. No more lugging a big laptop around to get use out of the intarwebs when I’m out and about.

Why do some of the best anime have practically non-existent fandoms? Like Noein and Denno Coil. And Le Chevalier D’eon. Can I tempt anyone into watching a supernatural mystery/thriller set in pre-revolutionary France where folks wield Psalms like spells? Can I lure anyone with the info that one of the protagonists is a woman’s spirit channeled through her brother’s body? Can I sway you with the crossdressing? The bishounen? The bishoujo? The witty turns of phrase? This anime is perfect for a fandom, guys. It’s getting depressing that there isn’t one.

I am dreading having to plow my way out of the mess that heaped up overnight. Gone are the days when I enjoyed digging through the cold and wet. Being a kid at play is worlds away from an adult being forced to shovel a ton of snow. Eh, I guess I don't completely hate the stuff. It always seems quiet & peaceful after a snow. You can enjoy it until you realize that you're freezing your knickers off.

I'm nearly ready for the holidays. Don't want to be caught up in the last minute crowd (been there, done that too many times). I have a lot of baking to do soon as well since I need to test out a recipe or two. But it will all be fun.

Speaking of holiday things, I had a lot of hope for the B&N Nook, but up close, it's much ado about very little. Definitely doesn't live up to its hype, not to mention that they can't even deliver on producing enough devices for the holiday season. Deciding between the Sony Pocket & the Sony Touch reader now.

New layout for this place. Let's see how long I end up keeping this one. I have a short attention span when it comes to layouts.

I am excited about the new version of The Prisoner for some reason. Perhaps it has something to do with Sir Ian starring in it. Hopefully it won't disappoint.

I've finally got my account on AO3. Now I just have to finish uploading the better of the stories I've written to it.
