Hello! Been a very long while since I've posted anything here, I've gotten very caught up with my other work but I'm determined to keep this account reasonably active now.
Here we have a showcase of some of the more relevant cultulres within my world and how they dress. Also featuring Monty again!, whose nationality has been retconned since I last drew him in my world.
A short blurb about each of them:
Liyuri /lɪˈjuː.ri/ - a fishing culture from the eastern fringes of the northern continent with a close relationship to the sea; they are one of the freer cultures of the time, with few prescribed roles in society and open attitudes towards nudity and sex.
Byazuq /ˈbjæ.zʊk/ - an equestrian pastoral people of the northern steppes; once conquerers of the Liyuri, a small number now live among them peacefully.
Souduei /ˈsou̯.dwei̯/ - a large, highly structured kingdom situated between the Liyuri and Byazuq lands; their influence on their neighbors touches nearly every facet of society, from arts to philosophy to timekeeping to governance.
Tokkam /ˈtɒ.kəm/ - a lush tropical region on the southern continent with diverse peoples; though their society is marked by strict hierarchy, they have a long scholarly and philosophical tradition.
Dahanna /dəˈhɑː.nə/ - a proud island nation far to the east across the great ocean with imperial ambitions, and who introduced the Liyuri to the concepts of democracy and the parliamentary system.
