Nominations for the 2026 round of Noncon Ex are open! (A few hours early! :D)

Short notes:

Each participant can nominate 10 fandoms with 20 relationships each, as well as one freeform tag.
Please nominate relationships in the format 'Character A noncons Character B (fandom disambiguation)' or other accepted variant as per the rules post

As the nominations formatting for Noncon Ex is somewhat non-traditional, please consult the rules post and query on the post if something is confusing or if you have an edge case you'd like to discuss. We will post nominations queries with any incorrectly formatted nominations and other questions throughout the course of the nominations period, and reject any that are not fixed after 24 hours to keep our queue size manageable.

If any of your nominations are rejected for this reason, you may renominate them formatted correctly if you have nominations slots remaining, and if not, comment on the nominations query post, or the final tagset cleanup post with the correct format, and I can add them to the tagset through the backend edit interface.

Thanks to the heroic work of our pinch hitters, we are on track for reveals at 8pm EDT tomorrow, August 30th. Countdown here.

This means that work reveals will be in circa 28 hours! Get those final edits, treats, general screams in! To stave off the reveals bug, the collection will be closed to new works for an hour prior to reveals and will open for further treats after work reveals have passed.

Hello Hello! Noncon Ex works are due in approximately 31 hours (Countdown).

Works should be at least 1000 words or a finished piece of art, complete at the time of submission with no placeholder text. Make sure to publish your drafts, check your work, and ensure that your bus pass is ready to go live in case you're prevented from editing before the works are meant to go live on the 23rd.

If you're in a position where you do not foresee being able to finish your work, please default ahead of the deadline. All no shows at deadline will incur a one year ban from the event.

If you anticipate needing a bit more time, please email the modmail at TavinaFanfiction@gmail.com to request one 48 hour extension to extend your deadline to August 11th at 8pm EDT. In this email please include your AO3 username and the username of the recipient you are creating for. All first extension requests submitted by email ahead of the deadline tomorrow will be granted, however, no second extensions will be granted.

I anticipate being largely away from keyboard for the next several days, so please allow at least 24 hours for mod communication by email.

We currently have 3 unmatchables who have already been emailed! If your AO3 username starts ith E, F p, or S, please check your ao3 associated email to see if you are unmatchable.

Signups are open a little early! Please find the signups form here. A full list of requirements for each signup can be found here, but in general:

Each signup must request at least 3 unique fandoms (as defined by separate fandoms in the tagset), 1-20 relationships, 1-2 mediums, and 4-20 additional tags.
Each signup must offer at least 3 unique fandoms (as defined by separate fandoms in the tagset), 1-20 relationships, 1-2 mediums, and 4-20 additional tags.
We will not enforce unreasonable DNWs that railroad the authors into a single specific scenario, or contradict the requested tags. Signups cannot DNW things inherent to a noncon exchange, such as non-consensual sex, sexual content, or PWPs.
Only DNWs in the signup box by the end of signups will be enforced. Please clearly label your DNWs as “DNW: [Items DNW’d here]” and not as “dislikes” or “I don’t prefer this” or etc. DNWs found only in a linked letter will not be enforced.
If a signup does not have three unique fandoms requested or does not have three unique fandoms offered by the time signups close, it will be deleted without warning.
