It is the new incarnation of the original ntop written in 1998, and is now revamped in terms of performance, usability, and features. ntopng is a network traffic probe that provides 360° Network visibility, with its ability to gather traffic information from traffic mirrors, NetFlow exporters, SNMP devices, Firewall logs, and Intrusion Detection systems. ntopng has been written in a portable way in order to virtually run on every Unix platform, including Linux and FreeBSD, MacOS and on Windows as well. ntopng captures traffic from SPAN/mirror ports or TAP devices using libpcap, or PF_RING (on Linux) for best performance. Or you can use it in combination with nProbe to collect NetFlow/sFlow from routers and switches, or nProbe Cento to analyze 100 Gbit links at full rate. -

Lua is designed, implemented, and maintained by a team at PUC-Rio, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The beamer class is focused on producing (on-screen) presentations, along with support material such as handouts and speaker notes. Content is created in a frame environment, each of which can be divided up into a number of slides (actual output pages). A simple 'action' notation is used to specify which material appears on each slide within a frame. The class supports a range of environments to enable complex slide relationships to be constructed. The appearance of slides is controlled by a template system. Many of the elements of slides can be adjusted by setting simple key-based values in the preamble. More complex changes can be implemented by altering specific, targeted definitions without needing to rewrite entire blocks of code. This allows a variety of visual appearances to be selected for the same content source. -
