Community guidelines
A friendly place to build together
Full Stack Flutter is a public space for developers who build apps with Flutter and Dart, all the way to the server. These guidelines keep it useful and welcoming. They are not a legal contract; they describe how we want to treat each other.
Be kind, even when you disagree
Criticize ideas, not people. Assume good intent, and remember that there is a person on the other side who may be new, stressed or writing in their second language. No name-calling, personal attacks, mocking or responding to tone instead of substance.
Improve the discussion
Every post should add something: an answer, a question, an experience, a link to a relevant resource. Search before you start a new topic. Use likes instead of "+1" replies, and keep replies on the topic you are replying to. If a tangent is worth discussing, start a new topic and link to it.
Stay on topic
This community is about building apps with Flutter and Dart: the UI, the backend, databases, hosting, tooling, design, testing, careers and the business of shipping apps. Pick the category that fits best. Politics, unrelated news and off-topic debates belong elsewhere.
Share your work, don't advertise
Showing what you have built, your open source packages, your articles and job openings is welcome, especially in Show & Tell and Careers, as long as you give context and take part in the discussion. Posting the same link everywhere, affiliate links, SEO content or mass promotion is spam.
Keep it safe for everyone
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs or discrimination of any kind.
- No sexual or obscene content.
- Don't share other people's private information, such as emails, phone numbers or addresses.
- Don't impersonate others, and only post content you have the right to share.
- Report security vulnerabilities privately to the project concerned, not in public posts.
If you see a problem, flag it
Don't reply to bad behavior; flag it using the menu on the post. When enough members flag a post, it is hidden until a moderator looks at it. Moderators may edit, move, close or remove content, and may limit accounts that repeatedly break these guidelines.
How moderation works
Posts are checked automatically when they are published, using an AI model that looks for harassment, spam, personal data and off-topic content. Most posts appear right away. Posts that need a second look wait for a human moderator, which usually happens within a day. Members who repeatedly post content that breaks the guidelines lose the ability to reach other members.
New members have a few limits during their first day, such as the number of links in a post and how many topics they can start. The limits go away as you take part.
