Bianca di Angelo

Bianca Di Angelo is a character in the fictional Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series, written by Rick Riordan. Bianca is a half-blood, meaning one parent was a god, and the other was a mortal. Her father is Hades, the god of the Underworld, and her mother is an Italian mortal named Maria Di Angelo.

In Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse, Bianca takes an action figure of Hades from a divine junkyard where nothing must be disturbed, and she enters a malfunctioning robot that attacks them, stopping it but sacrificing herself. Her brother, Nico di Angelo, believes it was Percy Jackson's fault that his sister died, and plans to take revenge on him in the fourth book of the series, Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth.

Bianca and Nico were born in Italy, but grew up in Washington, D.C. They were living in a hotel, and Zeus was paranoid about the first Great Prophecy that talked of a child of the Big Three turning 16. He attacked the hotel they were staying in.

Hades could not save their mother, but protected the children behind a wall of dark energy. A devastated Hades told Alecto the Fury to take them to the River Lethe and wipe their memories, then to the Lotus Hotel. "Zeus would not harm them there" said Hades. Alecto did as told and left them there for 70 years, where they did not age. They were then brought out to fulfill the prophecy several months before the events of The Titan's Curse. Nico and Bianca were taken to Westover Hall, where Grover, Annabeth, and Percy found them.
