I’m not sure if this is a good thing from the point of view of the bureaucratic process; I hope it’s designed to weed out unsuitable candidates and limit the spread of pseudoscience, rather than to make life more difficult for people.
I bet this decision was peer reviewed with conformational bias.
Maybe @ChatGPT is threatening their jobs or witch craft still has a hold on the population.
