Help Identify a Clue. Help Protect a Child.

Identify2Protect invites the public to review carefully sanitized, non-explicit images connected to child exploitation investigations. A familiar object, location, logo or other small detail could help investigators identify a victim and move a case forward.

No Time to Waste

Protecting kids online is a shared responsibility. Hear from former NFL player and child safety advocate, Tim Tebow, on why every community member plays a role.

Show Your Commitment in Style

Help Keep Platforms Accountable

Only platforms can take down intimate images shared without your consent. Tell the FTC about platforms that don’t comply with the Take It Down Act.

Not Everyone Online Is Who They Say They Are

Watch how a convicted online predator used multiple fake profiles online to exploit and manipulate kids and teens.

  • Break a Predator’s Power with Know2Protect

The moment a young person being exploited online tells a trusted adult, the offender is no longer in control. Chief Safeguarding Officer at Scouting America, Glen Pounder explains that sextortion relies on fear and isolation to keep kids silent — speaking up breaks that cycle.

What is Know2Protect?

Know2Protect is a Department of Homeland Security national public awareness campaign to:

  • Educate and empower kids, teens, parents, trusted adults and policymakers to prevent and combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA).
  • Explain how to report online enticement and victimization.
  • Offer response and support resources for victims and survivors of online child sexual exploitation.
  • Join the Pledge2Protect® Movement

Pledge2Protect is the official call-to-action of the Know2Protect campaign. Our goal is to create a global movement to galvanize society to take action and prevent crimes of exploitation targeting kids and teens online. Everyone has a place in this fight, and Pledge2Protect is an opportunity to help protect children, learn more and educate communities about how to prevent this crime.
