New Year's Resolution: Use DW: Go!
Dec. 31st, 2018 05:59 pmI thought years were supposed to go by faster the older you got. This year has felt like five hundred. Bizarrely, it has been both the best year of my life and the worst.
But no real life talk here! I am planning on actually being ~active~ in fandom, but I still need to polish a few of my older posts that I've put here, on DW. I was, of course, planning on doing it before the new year rolled in, and yet.
sad face.
However, ONCE I have done that, I might start looking into being more active on here, maybe possibly! I have a few ideas re: some communities, but I've never been a part of a LJ-style community let alone set one up, so they're still in delta stage. I really like the idea of communities, instead of heavily relying on following individuals like you do on t*mlbr. Some of my favourite people on t*mblr I don't follow, and it's because I can't tolerate some of the other stuff they post :(. Communities can help with that! And it could also help "equal the playing field", because the tags on t*mblr are heavily broken and so if you aren't reblogged by blogs with large followings many people might never find you.
...I have had increasing issues with tumblr. In a way, I'm glad for the excuse in a change in platform.
I'd also love to do a personal archive for tbx fandom! It's something I've always wanted to do, but is very time consuming and energy heavy. The rules would be: 1) no archiving pages on archive.is (etc.) myself (but can use them if they already exist) and 2) nothing hidden behind a login. We'll see. 2020 anybody?
