노랑몽구스(Cynictis penicillata)는 식육목 몽구스과에 속하는 포유류의 일종이다. 몸길이는 50cm, 몸무게는 500g 정도이다.^[2] 노랑몽구스속(Cynictis)의 유일종이다. "붉은미어캣"으로도 불린다.

앙골라와 보츠와나, 남아프리카공화국, 나미비아 그리고 짐바브웨 등의 준사막 관목지부터 초원 등 앞이 트인 지역에서 산다. 아시아에서는 카슈미르 지역에서 발견된다.
