Welcome to LovelineTapes.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including its audio archive, forums, user accounts, comments, ratings, tags, call logs, downloads, and any other features or services offered through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).
LovelineTapes.com is a fan-run archival and community website. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to Loveline, its hosts, producers, broadcasters, distributors, parent companies, successors, or rights holders.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site.
1. Nature of the Site
LovelineTapes.com exists to preserve, organize, discuss, and make accessible historic Loveline radio recordings and related fan-created information. The Site is operated as a fan-run, not-for-profit archive and community resource.
We do not claim ownership of Loveline, its recordings, trademarks, characters, hosts, guests, logos, broadcast materials, or other intellectual property owned by third parties. All such rights remain with their respective owners.
We respect the rights of content owners and will respond to valid copyright or removal requests as described in the Copyright Policy section below.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. Certain community features may be intended for users who are older, and we reserve the right to restrict access to any feature at our discretion.
3. User Accounts
You may be required to create a free account to access certain features, including downloads, ratings, comments, forums, call logs, tags, or other community features.
When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us promptly.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for spam, abuse, harassment, attempts to disrupt the Site, repeated violations of these Terms, or conduct that creates legal, security, or community-management concerns.
4. Donations
The Site may accept voluntary donations to help offset hosting, storage, bandwidth, development, maintenance, domain, software, and related operating costs.
Donations are optional. Donations do not purchase access to copyrighted content, do not create a subscription, do not provide ownership rights, and do not entitle donors to special access, control, or influence over the Site unless we explicitly state otherwise.
Donations are used to support the operation of the Site and are not intended as profit from Loveline recordings or other third-party intellectual property. Donations may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Unless otherwise stated, donations are not tax-deductible charitable contributions.
5. No Commercial Resale or Exploitation
The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell, resell, redistribute, package, mirror, scrape, commercially exploit, or charge for access to recordings, metadata, pages, summaries, comments, tags, call logs, forum posts, or other Site content without express written permission from us and, where applicable, the relevant rights holders.
You may not represent yourself, your website, your product, or your service as officially affiliated with LovelineTapes.com, Loveline, or any Loveline-related rights holder unless you have written authorization to do so.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Site in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation;
- Infringes or misuses the rights of any third party;
- Harasses, threatens, abuses, impersonates, or targets another user;
- Posts or transmits spam, scams, malicious links, or unsolicited promotions;
- Uploads or distributes viruses, malware, spyware, or harmful code;
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, servers, databases, or restricted areas of the Site;
- Interferes with the normal operation, security, performance, or availability of the Site;
- Uses automated scripts, bots, scraping tools, crawlers, or similar systems to harvest content or user information without permission;
- Copies, republishes, or redistributes large portions of the Site or archive without permission;
- Creates a competing archive, service, commercial product, or database using Site content without permission;
- Posts content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful; or
- Encourages others to violate these Terms.
We reserve the right to remove content, limit access, block users, restrict downloads, or take other appropriate action if we believe these Terms have been violated.
7. User Content
The Site may allow users to submit comments, ratings, tags, call descriptions, summaries, forum posts, profile information, messages, corrections, or other material (“User Content”).
You are responsible for any User Content you submit. By submitting User Content, you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate the rights of any third party or any applicable law.
You retain whatever ownership rights you have in your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to the Site, you grant LovelineTapes.com a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, edit, modify, excerpt, reformat, index, archive, and otherwise use that User Content in connection with operating, maintaining, promoting, and improving the Site.
We may edit, move, hide, or remove User Content at our discretion, including for accuracy, organization, moderation, formatting, legal compliance, or community-management purposes. We are not obligated to store or preserve User Content permanently.
8. Community Areas
The Site may include forums, comments, profiles, private messages, or other community features. We are not responsible for user-submitted opinions, statements, advice, claims, or other User Content.
User Content does not necessarily reflect the views of LovelineTapes.com, its administrators, contributors, archivists, moderators, or volunteers.
Please use common sense when interacting with others online. Do not post private information that you do not want made public.
9. Audio Recordings and Archive Materials
The Site may include radio recordings, episode information, guest listings, dates, descriptions, fan notes, call tags, summaries, and related archive material. Some recordings may be incomplete, mislabeled, replaced, restored, edited for quality, or updated over time as better information or better source material becomes available.
We make no guarantee that any recording, description, date, guest listing, tag, summary, rating, or other archive information is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
10. Copyright Policy and Removal Requests
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that material on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to help us locate it;
- Your contact information, including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material at our discretion and without prior notice. We may also terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or violate these Terms.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to third-party websites, services, payment processors, embedded media, charity websites, social platforms, or other external resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, privacy practices, or policies.
Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
12. Advertising and Affiliate Links
The Site is not operated as an advertising-driven or affiliate-profit project. If we ever include advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, or similar revenue-generating features, we may update these Terms and/or disclose that relationship where appropriate.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
14. Site Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, reorganize, or remove any part of the Site or Services at any time, with or without notice. This includes recordings, downloads, forums, user accounts, features, design, metadata, or community tools.
We are not obligated to provide support, maintenance, backups, updates, or uninterrupted access. The Site is a hobby/fan project and may be affected by technical issues, hosting limits, cost constraints, volunteer availability, legal concerns, or other factors.
15. Disclaimers
The Site and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, availability, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Site will be available, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or free from harmful components. We do not guarantee that any content on the Site is accurate, complete, lawful, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Content on the Site is provided for historical, archival, informational, and community-discussion purposes only. Nothing on the Site should be understood as professional, legal, medical, psychological, financial, or other expert advice.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LovelineTapes.com, its administrators, contributors, archivists, moderators, volunteers, service providers, and related parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of access, loss of goodwill, lost profits, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Site or Services will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount, if any, that you paid directly to us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the six months before the claim arose.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LovelineTapes.com, its administrators, contributors, archivists, moderators, volunteers, service providers, and related parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of any third-party rights.
18. Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Site or your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for the Site, other users, or third parties.
You may stop using the Site at any time. Certain provisions of these Terms, including those relating to ownership, User Content licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution, will survive termination.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent any claim is not subject to arbitration or cannot be handled informally, you agree that it will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
20. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, any claim arising out of or relating to the Site, Services, or these Terms may, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis rather than in court, unless both parties agree otherwise or applicable law provides otherwise.
You agree not to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, private attorney general action, or other representative proceeding against us related to the Site or Services.
Nothing in this section prevents us from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property, confidential information, security, or the operation of the Site.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
