General likes: Hurt/comfort! Both physical and emotional. Friendship, friends-to-lovers, non-sexual intimacy. Sexual intimacy, if applicable. Hugs/touches/physical closeness. Suspiciously intense gen. Manly suffering.
I love trust (whether existing or developing), and loyalty (same), tight emotional bonds. Competence.
Angst that ends happy. Fluffy snark that ends happy. Moments of intense emotional payoff. I love characters who don't often let themselves speak/act on feelings being driven to/choosing to do so. And characters who are utterly open in their emotions having times when they pull back -- Intensity of feeling without the characters acting other than themselves.

Other fun tropes: Mysterious events, monsters, unexplained phenomena, adventures. Supernatural creature AUs, magical realism. Canon-reality, with a twist. Rescues. Adventures. Domesticity. Stoic/iron woobies being hurt or overcome (and comforted); attractive men fainting or throwing up. I love period medical details, whatever the period or universe. Worldbuilding. Scenery porn. I also love bystander povs (including OCs) on requested characters, and competency kink- I love seeing the characters shine.


Do not want: Major character death, bad endings, terminal or permanent hurts, First/second person. BDSM, omegaverse, humiliation, unrequested identity headcanons, mobster or high school/college AUs. Addiction. Unrequested pairings for requested characters. Harm to cats.

Red-haired Shanks

I love EVERYONE in this show. Everyone is excellent, everyone is hot, and it's really hitting the spirit of the manga in a lot of ways, even as it's not an exact plot match. Shanks is my scruffy pirate love, and Peter Gadiot just made him even more attractive, and I want every exploration of him.

-Akagami nakama! Benn Beckman, Yasopp, Lucky Roux, Hongou (the doctor)... The way the whole crew takes their cues from how Shanks reacts to things fascinates me - they'll laugh it off if he does, but they were ready to throw down if he hadn't, and the way they all of them react to Mihawk as well
-Shanks and Luffy <3 The way Shanks *looks* at him- the happiness, the worry, the pride, the
-Hurt/comfort with his crew after losing his arm. Conqueror's haki doesn't fix blood loss! Or having a giant predator bite your limbs off! Any and all h/c for Shanks at this point, I would love. He'll put a good face on everything for Luffy, but it can't have been easy.
-Gen or ship with Benn! I've loved Beckman ever since volume 1 of the manga, and we didn't see as much of him here but he's still Shanks' voice of reason and I'd love to see them get explored more
-Redhair pirates eating at the Baratie! I adore live action Zeff and Sanji so much, and I love Zeff chatting pirate talk with Garp -- Would be fascinated to see how Shanks and Zeff would get along. Zeff would know whose crew Shanks used to be cabin boy on, for sure.
-Bystander pov

For Ace: My ultimate OTP is Ace/having nice things and hugs and not dying. Other ships include Ace/Marco, Ace/Sanji as a fun once in a while thing (I love the idea of Ace being Sanji's bi awakening), Ace gen found-family smarm with Pops, with the Whitebeards, with his brothers, especially Luffy. Heck, if you can, I'd love to see Ace/Shanks, even just as a one-off.
-Feel free to AU all over the place, both in serious ways and in cracky tropey ways, so long as it's true to character.
-I love explorations of Ace's self-hatred and dad issues, feel free to be angsty about it as long as it ends on a plus
-Narcolepsy!

Forever OTP, from that very first 'My Jade'. ♥ I'm up for gen, for slash, for focus on either of them. I love Jade's darkness, and the fact that he's worked out how to harness it towards light. I love how much care Peony has for his people, and Malkuth, and Jade- and how much joy and occasional silliness he radiates despite the depth of his character and responsibility. (I also love all of his rappigs, and his messy room, and giving people clothes) I love their physical contrast. I love how butch Peony's default game stance is. I love that as many threats as Jade makes about eating the rappigs, his game data says he never will.

For extra joy check out this Tales of Fandom sidestory, wherein Peony is nearly assassinated, and Jade yells his emperor's first name in public and casts Indignation on all and sundry.

-sparring or fighting together, since Peony's canonically meant to be good at hand-to-hand. What would Peony's mystic arte be?
-Peony was the only one who thought Jade was still alive after Akzeriuth, Nephry says he was really worried - show me their reunion! Presumed dead (or presumed dead by everyone but your frantic best friend) is one of my favourite things.
