Its in the style guide MCW:SG/V that renders are to be present only if the texture or model has changed. You'd have to start a discussion to change that. And I'm not sure your reasoning. It's not an explicit rule but rather a presentation practice. Wikipedia, its originator, also doesn't have much on explicit policy regarding it, but you can adapt the prescription from Wikipedia:MOS:REFPUNCT and Wikipedia:Template:Citation needed/doc.  Nixinova  T ⁄ C  10:14, 12 April 2026 (UTC)

To ping users in edit summaries, you have to link to their user page (e.g. [[User:Nixinova|Nixinova]]). Captions look better than tabs, in my opinion. We probably should start a discussion about this. –LauraFi - talk 20:46, 4 May 2026 (UTC)

The scope of the wiki is currently only official content in game, as that's what is currently agreed upon by the community. See Forum:Creating a "Community" namespace for a dicussion regarding allowing mod content on the wiki for reasons people gave for and against allowing mods.

To me, the quote is saying that grass and cobblestone were the two blocks revealed although they weren't officially named at the time. This strongly implies that the block in question is the same cobblestone as modern versions.

I want to know to what extent it's "not a mistake" to say that it's cobblestone and not stone. This isn't exactly clear to me since the current wiki consensus is that "the block internally known as rock that used an early version of cobblestone's texture" is stone, not cobblestone. It's just not useful or accurate to have this listed as an "error". CGTT has blocks that appear as grass and cobblestone, so the entry is not wrong. Internal ID shenanigans are extremely technical and don't mean anything.  Nixinova  T ⁄ C  06:53, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
