So, I've never really found the time to make the comics post I wanted to do, but I'm so over the moon happy with basically ALL the comics I've read that I really need to share that joy - and go over all the things I've been reading that I enjoyed actually.
Wit some of the new DC titles we are now in the place where I can actually tell if I enjoy them or not. I'm still a bit on the fence about Black Canary. I have mostly the same problem with it that I have with Batgirl. It's a cool concept. It doesn't do anything wrong. It does do some things right and has interesting ideas, but it's missing something. my feeling is that something is Dinah as I know and love her. I think I might drop it, but I feel bad about it.
DC Bombshells continues to be an utter delight, see Yuletide letter ;D. And I love Starfire, which is a nice mix of her early Teen Titans comics and her Teen Titans Go characterisation and has an awesome, funny supporting cast and delightfully awesome art. And I do like Constantine: The Hellblazer so far. It's not exactly Hellblazer type stuff, but it's on a much better way than the previous Constantine comic was. And Wonder Woman is becoming really interesting with today's issue, with "Peace" turning out to be the bad guy and some of the redemption arcs in full swing. (Killing off Donna's first real friend just to give her more conflict was a bit much for me though. )
Gotham Academy is still going strong. We finally know more about Olive and her mother and we had some nice guest appearances and this week a nice Dick Grayson flashback. And, yes, Grayson is still my favorite thing.
( Batman & Robin Eternal )
And I read the first issue of Titans Hunt and it gave me lots of Garth nostalgia feels and it seems that there will be some overlap of memories or something, some pull to bring the Titans back together who supposedly don't have any history in the New 52. The set-up is intriguing anyway. I hope this will be good.
( Marvel Comics squeeee )
So I'm tentatively excited, but don't expect to have an awesome comics reading Wednesday like today every week.
