Because I'm pretty 0 or 100 on the sudden obsession scale, I'm recently gotten really, desperately into Colin Farrell. I'm
completely blaming this on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them bc he looked fucking good in that movie and I've been reading waaaay too much fic for it over the past several weeks.
The funny thing is, I haven't even seen the movie! I wasn't particularly interested when it first came out, even though I'm still v into Harry Potter, bc I was cringing about the overwhelming whiteness of it and I'm not really into Eddie Redmayne in general. I started seeing a lot of Credence/Original!Percival on tumblr though, mostly thanks to my Kylux peeps, and I was pretty much gone on it immediately. And of course I've seen all kinds of gifs and picspams bc of them too, and like I said, Colin Farrell looked damn good. Like seriously...

But anyway, somehow over the weekend it just hit me really hard and I absolutely
had to see like everything he's been in and drool over him as much as possible?? So I checked out about half a dozen of his movies from the library to start on that. I've already watched one so far, Ondine, which was actually really good even though I had a v hard time parsing all the Irish accents lol (Also, I plotted out a whole long FBaWtFT AU that I'll probably never have time to write!) I was really hoping to watch Fright Night, since I've seen a lot of gifs for it (he looks so good there too...) and there are several Gradence AUs, but I haven't been able to find it so far :/ It's not on Netflix or at my local library, which are the two places I find almost all the movies I watch. I may have to check at Half Price Books or EntertainMart soon to see if I can find it there. I thought I was pretty much over my vampire love after all the market oversaturation, but apparently Colin Farrell as a vampire has reignighted it big time!
It's kind of novel to have a new celebrity crush tbh. It's been years since my last real one, Jeremy Renner around 2012, and I mentally dumped him quite awhile ago. Of course the torch still burns for Chris Pine (and probably will forever at this point lbr), but I'm kind of hoping this Colin Farrell thing doesn't fizzle out too quickly. (Which, possible, based on my aforementioned 0 or 100 obsession tendency.) Idk, it's just nice to really like someone again?
