So, finally updating with an actual post.
TN was awesome. From the family time to the sites to the food, great time all around. I got some low carb-low cal cooking tips from my Aunt, I was horribly spoiled by my whole family, and I got to spend time with my Grandpa.
I also watched, like, 10 movies. My Uncle keeps a 45 page list of all the dvds they own and weekends are full of movie watching. From what I can remember, we watched
Stonehenge Apocalypse,
Saints and Sinners,
50-50,
The Ides of March,
State of Play,
Contagion,
Abduction and
Moneyball. I know I'm missing a few, but still, it was a lot of damn movies. I think my ass left an imprint on their couch.
It was a great way to spend my birthday. The most relaxed one I've had in ages.
Since I went through 4 airports on my vacay, and therefore 4 planes, I did pick up a nasty little bug. It's gone from a viral infection to a bacterial infection, and at this point I'm waiting to see what it does next. My doctor gave me some drugs to deal with my current double ear infection. As long as the room stops spinning, I'm good.
Registered for AZ 2012. Now all I have to do is request the days off and buy my train tickets.
Currently been amusing myself by listening to 2cello's version of
Smooth Criminal. I ended up buying the whole album (really good sale, thanks, amazon) and now just listen to their cello covers over and over again.
Over the weekend, when not cursing my ears and the plague, I got hooked on a completely ridic romance e-book series. It's
The Warder Series by Mary Calmes. No regrets, at all.
Speaking of writing,
sapper and myself had an Epic Leckie writing fest over the past, oh, half-year. The stories are finally posted. Go read her amazing fic
Turnpike now.
She was also kind enough to do a
mix for my story
So Spoke the Wanderer.
That's all I've got for this post. I'm now going back to my own mini
Burn Notice marathon.
