fanciful suggestions

Ack. I had a lot of things I wanted to post in the last couple of days, but I was lost in the land of nosy relatives and family togetherness, and internet time was incredibly limited. Then I got home, and my internet went down for a couple of days. My life.

Anyway, over the holidays, I received a strange and beautiful Bleach/Fullmetal Alchemist mini-comic from not_the_whip. It makes me squeal and giggle, and just fangirl in general. Thank you so much!

And yuletide stories went up, and authors were revealed. I was going to do a rec post, but that boat has long since sailed. Word to the wise, though, check out all of the Batman Begins stories, and the Twin Peaks story. They are all gorgeous, in their own unique ways. (The archive is here).

And, here's my yuletide story. Yes, I wrote a Napoleon Dynamite story, in which Napoleon and Pedro go fishing. No, I can't quite believe it either.

I like this icon, but it makes me worry. No matter how much I work on it, I fear that people will think it says, "canned meat," and then they'll think I'm thinking seriously twisted things about Napoleon. Let me tell you right now, I am not. It says "Canned Heat." Like the song he's dancing to? And because he is canned heat when he's up on that stage? Oh well.

EDIT: I think I've made it much more legible now. But now, I kind of want to make an icon that does say "canned meat."
