This is the CLAIMS POST of the 2019 Star Trek Reverse Big Bang. There are 28 drafts to choose from, some of which have multiple pieces to go with the same story.
Authors should take the next couple days to consider which pieces you would be interested in writing for. Compile your wish lists! We recommend that you choose at least three artworks in case your first choice gets taken.
ROUND 1 OF ART CLAIMS will open on Saturday, March 23rd - 7:00PM EST
The claims will take place in the comments of this post, once they're enabled. You do NOT need an account, but you MUST provide all information required.
The art previews are in the next part of the post. Please note that some of them might be NOT SAFE FOR WORK; view them at your own discretion.
Guidelines for writers:
1. You will be writing a companion fic to accompany your assigned artist's art.
2. Reverse Big Bang fics must be 5k words minimum.
3. Fics must be newly created for the artwork and cannot be posted anywhere else or be part of a work-in progress. It can't be an old, unposted work or a WIP.
4. You may not publicly post Reverse Big Bang fics on any site before the reveals in June.
5. Fics must be complete at the time of posting. The goal of the challenge is for each team to produce a complete fic and a finished piece of art.
Authors and Artists alike: PLEASE keep in contact with your partner. This is a collaborative effort between the two of you, and both the fic and the art should reflect that.
Please be aware that by signing up, you are fully committing to the challenge. Failing to complete it may lead to a ban. If one member of a team fails to complete the challenge by their chosen deadline in June, that participant may be banned from future STRBBs events until either they complete the original challenge or one event has passed, whichever comes first. By claiming or submitting art, you are agreeing to these terms. If a situation arises where you think you will need an extension, or will be unable to meet your commitments to the challenge, be sure to inform the event mod(s) ASAP, so we can talk about it and figure out the best solution.
If the claim time does not work for you, you can ask a friend to claim for you -- just pass along your username/email and selections. If you can't find anyone else to claim for you, email the event mod(s) at startrekreversebang@gmail.com and someone will be asked to help!
Additionally, if the first round of claims goes quickly, a second round may be opened

The AMBIGUOUS universe label means the artist is okay with receiving a fic set in any Star Trek universe. Please don't choose art set in a universe you are not familiar with or unwilling to write.
