• We are currently working on improving the digital implementation of our shipping process. In doing so, we have identified a few points that would likely interest other users and help significantly improve the digitization of the process.

Currently, the return label and the shipping label are saved together in a single PDF file; A separation would be sensible here. Once separated, it would be useful to have the option of sending the label via the order confirmation email. This way, customers can get the label directly and don’t have to search separately in the shop or receive a return label in the package.

once again: Set up a public GitHub repository and let people submit pull requests; this also eases the burden of further development on your end.

    best regards
    Dan

    Hi @toxicdemon,

We’re happy to inform you that both features you suggested are now implemented and live in the latest release (v4.0.0):

    – The return label is now saved as a separate PDF, downloadable on its own from the order.
    – You can now email the return label directly to the customer, so they receive it without having to search for it in the shop or in the package.

Both are opt-in; you’ll find the new options in the DHL shipping settings.

You can update right away by downloading the latest version here:

After updating, please give it a try and let us know if anything doesn’t work as expected. And if you’re happy with the result, a quick review would mean a lot and helps us keep improving the plugin:
