Help Identify a Clue. Help Protect a Child.
Identify2Protect invites the public to review carefully sanitized, non-explicit images connected to child exploitation investigations. A familiar object, location, logo or other small detail could help investigators identify a victim and move a case forward.
Identify2Protect is a DHS initiative supported by the Know2Protect campaign to combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse. This initiative helps rescue children who are victims of sexual exploitation. Identify2Protect, led by Homeland Security Investigations’ Victim Identification Program, asks the public to help identify clues in sanitized images related to child sexual abuse material. The program operates within HSI's Child Exploitation Investigations Unit at the DHS Cyber Crimes Center.

Clues hide in plain sight. Your observation could save a life.
When investigators encounter objects, locations, logos or other distinctive details in child sexual abuse material that they cannot identify, they turn to the public for help. Your knowledge and observations can make all the difference. Sometimes the key to identifying and finding a child is an everyday detail hidden in the background of an image — something familiar to you, but not immediately recognizable to investigators. A single tip could be the missing piece to identify and safeguard a kid or teen — your observation could be the missing piece.
