Things you should know about me and this journal:
1. I may go long periods without posting, and I may comment and reply to comments sporadically. I'm probably reading your journal, but I might be online in general only sporadically, too. Never take it personally if I don't comment on an entry of yours or reply to a comment of yours for a super long time! I can guarantee you that 99% of the time, it's not personal!
2. Also, feel welcome to subscribe or unsubscribe to my journal freely. I will never take it personally either way. I don't even really pay close attention to those kinds of changes, and if I do notice that you unsubscribe, I won't assume it's because you hate me unless you tell me so. :) I understand that we all use these journals differently, and I'm cool with that.
3. My journal content is a mix of fannish, political, and personal. I may go for long periods only writing about fannish stuff, I may write a lot about political stuff if that's what I feel like, or you might get it all in one entry. Primarily, however, I consider this a fannish space where I sometimes write about other things, you know? This is my fannish identity, fannish home, fannish soap box. Fandom is what I do here, even if I happen to be talking about Obama's policies or the shitty week I had at work.
4. I don't generally have conversations here that blow up into big imbroglios or what have you, but in the event that it should happen, I would like to lay down some ground rules for discussion in my journal. I basically welcome all discussion, but no harassment or personal attacks, and I reserve the right to make final calls about that. I reserve the right to moderate discussions, including freezing threads and deleting comments, though I would consider comment deletion a serious step to be undertaken only in extreme circumstances. I reserve the right to ban users who won't abide by my moderation requests. I will try to be sensitive to triggers and use cut-tags and warnings appropriately in this journal, and I'd appreciate it if commenters would keep that in mind, too.
5. In any given entry, there could be "adult" content in this journal, by which I mean explicit written or graphic sexuality and/or extreme language. (In other words: I like the p0rny fanfiction and fanart and just plain p0rn, and I might say motherfucker a lot.)
6. I am a white, American, queer, cisgender woman. Sometimes it's relevant to know that.
