This is a community for fans of the Boku No Hero Academia series to come together and share their joy, whether that's getting excited about a piece of canon or sharing your latest recs and other cool BNHA fandom finds.

Hardcore fan or casual fan, manga reader or anime-only watcher, everyone is welcome at whatever level they enjoy the series! :)



What to post? How to post it?

All fanworks and discussions that are at least related to BNHA are welcome! You can check out this post for a non-exhaustive list of examples.

You can post either directly to the community, or link to another site where you posted your entry. Cross-posting is also fine. When posting to the community, you're welcome to lock your entry for any reason (this means only other members can see it). Try to indicate in the subject line what the post is about (Reaction, Rec, Discussion, News, etc), and add/create any relevant tag. Posts can be as short (e.g. "What did you think of X??" with a couple of sentences) or as long as you want!

The following should go under a cut (FAQ on what is a cut and how to do it): large images/multiple images, recent manga spoilers, NSFW and any potentially upsetting content (see below for more information).

Keep accessibility in mind for people who might have trouble accessing visual, audio, or high-bandwidth content; when possible, include alt tags, transcripts, text descriptions or summaries. Avoid using special fonts/colours.

Community guidelines

• Treat people with respect.
• Don't harsh other people's squee. Be mindful that the character you hate is someone else's favourite. Try to come here to celebrate what you love about the fanworks and canon, the characters and themes and anything BNHA-related that sparks joy. This is a ship and let ship environment.
• Manga spoilers and NSFW content (see below for examples) should be placed under a cut and tagged appropriately, so people who want to avoid those topics can do so. Mentioning dark themes from canon (e.g. child abuse, mutilation, suicide-baiting, ...) in passing is fine but should go under a cut if digging into the details.

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism and other bigotry are not welcome in this community.

The mods reserve the right to take action if content/behaviour is posted that isn't in the spirit of the guidelines but isn't explicitly forbidden. In that case, an admin update will be posted to explain the action, why it was taken, and discuss as a community whether we need a new guideline.

What is NSFW content? What is allowed?

NSFW content includes dark themes, mature topics, sexually explicit descriptions and other adult content. Anything that would be embarrassing or worse to have to explain to a boss or a family member.
Due to local laws, sexually explicit content about characters under 17 of age cannot be shared or linked from the community. Aged up characters are fine.

The warnings should include details about what it's warning for, for example (CW: Gore/Sex/Violence/Character Death/...) and be behind a cut tag.

Manga spoilers policy

In new posts, manga spoilers should go under cuts and be warned for.
In comments, unless the post is specifically marked as anime-only, there are no such restrictions and discussions have a great chance of containing spoilers: venture at your own risk, just like you would on AO3. People may warn ahead of spoilers.
For the most recent chapters, try to keep the spoilers to the reaction posts to give people a chance to catch up. No leaks discussions.

How to help

Be kind. There will probably be users new to Dreamwidth on this comm, non-native speakers, newcomers to the series, etc, and there might be a bit of a learning curve.

Post and share all sorts of wonderful content related to BNHA, start discussions, participate in existing ones, promote the comm on Dreamwidth.

If a conversation goes off-topic or turns to venting, you can redirect people gently toward other topics. If you find yourself in an off-topic discussion, consider taking it to private messages or to your journal.
