30 Days: New Computer!
I missed yesterday, but I have a good excuse. I got a new laptop, on accounta my old one died.
My old one was named Tippetarius, so this one is named Tippetarius2. Thus far they are mostly a good computer, except that (a) I hate having to go through and set everything up, and (b) my Firefox sync didn't work, so I"m having to manually re-enter all my passwords, and (c) some programs that I hadn't updated have some changes I don't care for in the latest version. But, you know, mostly that's diamond shoes being too tight.
Do you guys name you computers?
Also, random aside: anyone else having to scramble to pay for meds because there is some nationwide issue with things not getting through insurance? Not being declined, just not going through at all.

this laptop is Oxyderkes, the Linux laptop is Aithuia, the current tablet is Akraia, the current phone is Keleutheia, and the Raspberry Pi that exists mostly to let me watch stuff from the household media drive on my bedroom TV is Thalia

I just got switched by my company (BOO) and found it weird that UHC (hiss spit) felt a need to send me an EOB for my freaking 'scrip fills. Aetna didn't do that.

Yep. My current laptop is hannibal; in one of my bad jokes I'm the most proud of, one of the external disks I do daily/weekly backups to is called DRFELL.
I started with my first computer, a Brazilian clone of a ZX Spectrum I named Claudia. I don't remember why.

I've never been one for naming things, though Carla does name all her devices.

I’ve been through all kinds of naming schemes —- for a while it was characters from the Odyssey! I had an iPad named Athena and a phone named Circe. Pretty sure there was a phase of concepts from Tolkien too.
