I am a retired academic with a PhD in development economics. I am married. My wife and I have six children and six grandchildren between us. I have been active in the Liberals/Liberal Democrats since 1964 was been a councillor for 24 years and have been a parliamentary candidate on 5 occasions. In May I was elected to Todmorden Town Council after a gap of 32 years.
I live in West Yorkshire in a house I mainly built myself.
