Yes I live in San Angelo, Texas, and my plan is to die here, most likely in a few decades.
I am a computer programmer, brought to the United States by Microsoft in 2014; lawful permanent resident since 2017; in Texas since 2023.

Yes I do have (around) ten cats, and feed another ten, and sometimes have the means to help people who also have or help cats. I also fix computers and computer problems for free whenever I have time. (Charging for that would have been against my job contract.)
If you need references, Brenda, Juliana, Resa, Kristine, Travis and Ty know me in person. I am also known at Southside and North Concho as that weird guy Alex with partially bleached hair (not intentional; we just use a lot of peroxide for carpet cleaning and all).

I used to identify myself as a socialist (few, if any, Soviet middle school students didn't), a "meritocrat", a liberal democrat and a Yeltsin loyalist, and a monarchist. My present views are most closely aligned with Andy Ngo's and Elon Musk's Keith Laumer's, particularly late Keith Laumer's. Doesn't mean I hate you if yours aren't; but I am always open to a good-faith discussion of religion, politics and the first principles thereof.
I am a big fan of the Ottoman Imperial model of self-governing communities. Destroying it shed a lot of blood in the Middle East.

My study interests include poetry and poetry translation, Middle Eastern and Eastern European literature(s), the mythology of the industrial age and the history of freedom (as a practice and as a concept).
