Welcome to the Rising Sun!
Rising Sun is a part of Guard!verse, a Merlin-based story Lexicon that has attempted to create a richer, deeper world for Merlin fans to play with. The game is now finished and unlocked. You may wish to begin your journey with an introduction, or you may prefer to try the tags or dive right in.
Open Source rules
You are free to use any ideas from Rising Sun in your own fanwork, so long as you make no profit from the work and give credit and a link to Rising Sun (as a whole or to a specific entry). You will also need to make the same open source rule about your own elements of Guard!verse - for example, if you use a character from this Lexicon and add to that character, another person can then use your version of that character, with credit and a link to you and to this journal, so long as they follow the same rules as posted here.
This does not extend to taking actual quotes or story structure (or pieces of art or tracing) from any Guard!verse entry or any other fan creator. Your work should be your own; it's the ideas that are communal. If you're not sure what's fair use and what's plagiarism in this context, please PM
briar_pipe on DW or LJ, or comment to the welcome post.
(Note: This is essentially a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License without the "Share" section. If you wish to reproduce any portion of this Lexicon, you must get the express permission of the user who posted it.
An exception to this rule would be brief quotes used in a noncommercial, informative context, such as reviews, histories (e.g., Fanlore), rules and examples for other Lexicon games, etc.)
Please also exercise caution when considering using someone's persona (player character) in another fanwork, as players have invested a great deal of time and energy into creating those characters and are likely very attached to them. Some players would probably prefer that you ask before using their personas in your work, so please do them that courtesy.

The idea for Rising Sun was born out of several discussions at
camelot_fleet. Neither Rising Sun nor any of its members created Guard!verse - it was a group collaboration with contributions by
cat_77,
frigg,
srin,
heathershaped,
themadlurker,
shewhohashope,
briar_pipe, and several anons.
