I posted my first fanfic* TWENTY NINE YEARS AGO TODAY. My most recent fanfic† was posted less than a month ago. And today I am finishing up a fanfic‡ I started in 2011.

I do still enjoy it! And I'm still improving, which is very satisfying. The WIP should be out soon; it's done and in the editing phase.

I wrote my first fanfiction sometime in the late 90s. Couldn't tell you when exactly. But it definitely was part of my moving towards writing fiction. I loved it. Had fun, and learned a lot.
Now I write novels that are actually published tradtitionally. Who'd a thunk.

Oh wow, I love that you know the day of your first fic! I feel like if I want to go digging, I might be able to find that date for my own, but I have no clue.

When a friend offered to host a website for me in the late 90s, I added the posted date to all my fics because I'm just like that. It's still down there at the bottom of every file. :D
