A Growing Cell

Hector has been laying on the junk food; a missing child case turns into a race to stop a criminal from clogging a major artery.
This episode provides examples of:
- Batman Cold Open: The episode opens with Ozzy and Drix getting into a car chase with a random germ while Hector goes to a fast-food restaurant; Hector’s newfound fast-food habit results in grease-based Oil Slicks springing up all over the place, and both Ozzy and the criminal crash into a tanker truck containing collagen fat. The criminal is unable to get away due to the slippery surface… but Ozzy ends up slipping too.Backseat: Hope you had a nice trip.
- Big Eater:
- Hector has started consuming a lot of junk food, causing the episode's plot.
- The fat cells, although it's not their fault- they have to store Hector's excess caloric intake. Once he goes for a jog, they stop being hungry.
- Edible Ammunition: At one point, Drix uses some pies he had stored inside his chest compartment as ammo for his Arm Cannon, hitting Stickety several times.
- Fishbowl Helmet: Stickety uses strange bubbles as helmets for himself and the trapped fat cells (and Ozzy and Drix) when they go into the bloodstream; in the climax, he threatens to pop Ozzy's bubble, only for Agloopus to slam into him.
- Funny Foreigner: Agloopus and his parents, as they have wacky German accents for seemingly no reason.
- Goo It Up: Stickety Lipid has the power to fire out very sticky plaque; the only thing that can destroy it is Drix's anticoagulant, or the power of Hector’s heart when he goes jogging.
- Hero Stole My Bike: Ozzy and Drix commandeer a tanker truck at the truck stop to transport a now-giant Agloopus; the fact that it might belong to someone isn't even mentioned.
- Hit Flash: The screen flashes white when Algloopus slams into Stickety; this is used to transition the scene to everybody being fished out of the blood.
- Hold Your Hippogriffs: After Agloopus drinks a tanker's entire load:Trucker Cell: Give us back that grease or we'll tie your membranes in knots!
- Kids Hate Chores: Invoked. When Hector protests to his mother that there’s nothing to do, she says that maybe she could find some chores around the house. He immediately decides to go play outside.Mom: Works every time.
- Lethally Bad Diet: Hector very nearly suffers a heart attack due to his junk food diet; it's only because he happened to go on a jog, causing his heart to beat faster and harder just when Stickety was trying to attach his "masterpiece" to the artery walls, that he was saved.
- Missing Child: Ozzy and Drix get into the plot of the episode investigating the disappearance of a fat cell kid; Stickety has been kidnapping a whole bunch of them to make his "masterpiece".
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Stickety Lipid has four arms- two "normal" ones, and two that end in slingshot-like structures that he can use to launch sticky goop.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: Drix can now shoot "anticoagulant" that undoes the effects of Stickety Lipid's glue.
- Oil Slick: All of the grease from Hector's greasy food intake turns into these in the City of Hector, to the detriment of both Ozzy's driving and the germ he's trying to chase.
- Pun:
- After Drix gets a phone call:
Drix: Ozzy, we just got a case in Midriff Estates.
Ozzy: Ain’t that in Fat City?
Drix: Yes, and it’s the fastest-growing part of Hector.
Ozzy: Man, this case could be big.- When Ozzy and Drix meet Aglooptus fact-to-face:Ozzy: I knew this was going to be a big case, but not this big!
- Pun-Based Creature: Stickety Lipid is literal bad (as in evil) cholesterol.
- Punny Name: Backseat is an artificially-intelligent "biofeedback navigation system" that acts like a backseat driver.
- Reflective Eyes: When Aglooptus starts salivating at the sight of a laden tanker truck, we can see his eyes reflecting the nozzle on the end of the tank.
- Rhymes on a Dime:
- Ozzy's observation on the effect Hector constantly eating junk food is having on his body.Ozzy: Dang, Hector's gotta lay off the fast food! Every crease was filled with grease!
- Stickety Lipid speaks in "beat poetry" due to thinking himself an artist.
- Ozzy's observation on the effect Hector constantly eating junk food is having on his body.
- Returning the Lost Child: The titular duo locate a missing fat cell child named Agloopus Glop and bring his to his worried parents. The task of bringing the missing child is difficult for Ozzy and Drix, since the Agloopus is always hungry and they have to feed him. Along the way they come across an evil villain named Stickety, who kidnaps fat cell children and stick them to Hector's main artery to give the boy a heart attack. After Stickery was defeated by Izzy and Drix, Agloopus is reunited with his parents.
- Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue...: After attaching Ozzy and Drix to his conglomeration of fat cells, Stickety reads them his "beat poem".Stickety Lipid: Fat cells are pink, blood cells are blue… you're part of my art now, too bad for you.
- Sentient Vehicle: Backseat; technically, he's only a "biofeedback navigation system" (fancy GPS), but he acts as if he were Ozzy's whole car, complaining about his chassis being crushed by Agloopus and whatnot.
- Shout-Out:
- The missing fat-cell kid is named Agloopus Glop. He's even German-accented.
- When Drix shows how Hector has been lying around all day doing nothing but snacking, Hector is seen watching old Looney Tunes cartoons.
- Squashed Flat: Some trucker cells are seen cartoonishly fattened after Aglooptus gets rolled over them.
- A Weighty Aesop: A fairly exaggerated one, but Hector's newfound taste for junk food nearly causes him to die of a heart attack.
- We Will Meet Again: When Stickety is dragged away by the police:Stickety: You ain't seen the last of plaque! One curly fry, and I'll be back!
Drix: Alright, Stickety, give it a rest. Your iambic pentameter's forced at best!
Stickety: He's pretty good.
