Makeruna! Makendo 2

Go To

Makeruna! Makendo 2: Kimero Youkai Souri, is a Fighting Game developed by Success and published by Datam Polystar on March 17, 1995 for the SNES. The game was later ported to the first PlayStation in November 10 of the same year by Fill-in-Cafe. It's the sequel of the first Makeruna! Makendo (known overseas as Kendo Rage).

After the events of the Makeruna! Makendo OVA (itself being a 30-minutes advertising for this game), Hikari Tsurugino, sister of the original Makendo, decides to participate in a youkai tournament. After some resistance from her sister, she decides to enter anyway to prove her strength, unaware that this tournament is being used by someone evil...

As one of many fighting games released during the popularity of the genre (and very late for the SNES), this game does have little to distinguish itself from the many Street Fighter II clones out there. One key difference is the use of magic, which can enhance a player, hinder the opponent, or using a Limit Break.
