Hi. I'm lia. I've been pretty excited about Dreamwidth since I heard about it - both on a philosophy standpoint and as a place to get a brand new start. I plan on using this journal a lot more personally than I ever used my lj, but the fanish stuff will still probably get mixed in.

I'm a recent college graduate in my early twenties, working at my parents accounting firm until I go back for my masters in library science next spring. I love to read and probably should just consider starting up my own library since I own so many books. I enjoy cooking and graphic design - and every so often ponder the idea of starting a business doing one of those, until I come to my senses. I like watching, unfortunately not playing, softball and baseball, since I missed out on all the athletic genes in the family. I bounce around between different crafts and I enjoy spending my free time being creative.

Politically (because I probably will be posting about this every once and a while), I'm a feminist and I tend to fall on the fiscally-conservative/libertarian end of the spectrum. I tend to be not to religious at all. But that's just me, I welcome of all different ideas and believe that everyone should have their own opinion.

Fandom-wise, I'd say I'm moderately active, mostly through fanfiction and art. I am currently following House, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, NCIS, CSI: NY, Bones, Chuck, Legend of the Seeker, Merlin, The Office, True Blood, and a whole bunch of other shows that aren't on the air any longer. My DVR gets quite the workout. One thing I'm going to be using DW for exclusively is posting snipits of fics that I have started. I don't have the best track record of actually finishing things, so I've decided posting random scenes is a lot less depressing than watching them pile up on my hard drive and never touching them again.
