Narrative is pretty much my crack cocaine. I read & write fiction voraciously, and meta occasionally; when I'm not writing, I like to record audiobook versions of stories I love. (At this point I've written somewhere over a hundred stories, maybe half a dozen of which are novel length, and I've recorded over a hundred stories, generally at least an hour long & in a few cases closer to twenty hours long.)

Really REALLY not at home to misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other ways of being a privileged dickhead. (And as and when I fail to notice my own privilege, I hope to have that kindly pointed out, and will try very hard to suck up my reflexive defensiveness and deal with my fail, and do better next time.)

I would be hard pushed to give less of a flying fuck about gossip or the brainless consumer culture idolized in 'Sex In The City' or any of that shallow mararky - I'm very much a geek, and when it comes to TV and cinema my taste tends towards the SF/F and procedurals side of things. But I have a fondness for old musicals too. I'm fannishly polyamorous - which is to say, I love lots of different source texts. I also self-identify as a slasher; this does not mean that I tolerate misogynistic bullshit. It just means that there are more guys than girls in the media I consume, and that I'm not particularly fond of heteronormativity - but I write and read gen, het, slash and femmeslash with equal enthusiasm. I'm terribly fond of reading and writing crossovers where you can get two 'verses to mesh together seamlessly and enrich one another. Despite having written some blisteringly x-rated stories, I'm actually much more interested in plot and character than anything else.
