The Origin 85X is a well-designed and carefully crafted 2-person spacecraft, offering a wide range of capabilities for travel both within and outside of planetary atmospheres. With its advanced thruster technology, which is similar to that of the 300 series, this vessel combines the speed of a racing ship with the dependability of a touring vessel. Whether you're exploring the surface of a planet or simply enjoying the views of your star system, this sleek spacecraft upholds Origin's longstanding reputation for capturing attention.[1][2]

Lore
editThe 85X was originally known as the Model XVB, one of many racer prototypes for the Origin Racing Team. It went through rigorous testing alongside other cutting-edge speedsters to find that edge in competitive racing. Although Origin ultimately selected the model that would become the M50, the XVB was not forgotten and found new life as a companion ship for the 890 Jump.[4]
